what is Jupiter thinking??!!

Today morning when i logged on, the first thing, even before i checked my mail, was to check the weather forecast for bombay city. it said that the temperature was around 37 or 34 deg centigrade (depending on the site being checked), but they all seem to agree that it felt like it was around 42 deg centigrade!!!

this is most unusual for me, because i generally do not concern myself with things like weather(although it plays a very significant role in our lives). but i had to, the weather's been driving me nuts for the better parts of my ongoing summer break. now had the case been that i am sitting at home and sipping on some lovely fruit juice all day, i would have absolutely no reason to worry. i would have rather enjoyed even the worst summer heat, but problem is i travel everyday in a crowded bus. the journey taking me approximately an hour and a quart. the heat causes sweating and a lot of sweating people in a small place like a bus stuck in bombay traffic is not exacly the best part of a holiday, eh??

so, my question - what is jupiter thinking? (for all you noobies out there who don't know who jupiter is, he is the Roman RAIN GOD). adding to the agony is the fact that for the past 2 years i have been living in surathkal, a place near manglore, as a hostelite, in my college and the weather there is very very hot. the winters are non-existent. ideally i thought that coming home would bring in some respite, but unfortunately its been a li'l disappointing. so that is why i sincerely hope that jupiter will hear the pleas of harassed souls like us and send in some showers in the next few days. he has been just simply generating anticipation by having grayish clouds cover the morning sky!! very smart, but now the jokes getting a li'l harsh!!

regards
sudhir poi

P.S. i would love to perform the Indian rain dance if it can help the case, so if you have the faintest idea how it is, please contact me.

Rain Dance? That's easy. All you need is an empty roof and some compassionate neighbors. You can add in some scantily clad partners (female - I hope!) for decoration. Have them move around - standing still is very boring.
Once you have that part sorted out, you need to raise your head heavenwards and scream at the top of your voice. The words are not important. You just need to be loud enough to be heard. Bear in mind that it's a long way to the top.
Oh yeah, almost forgot: you have to record all of this and post it on youtube ASAP. Only once you've done that can you be assured of rain. Trust me!

Oh yeah, almost forgot (part 2): Don't forget to tell me which lovely lady(ies) consented to do this dance with you. To be forewarned is to be forearmed! :)
